About This Course
Though quote marks in English seem straightforward, quotes in reporting transcripts offer some unique problems, particularly around quoting from documents. Do you have the document? What if the punctuation in the quote from the document is bad? This four-hour class on quotes and the punctuation problems they create will shed light on these issues.
We will cover what elements should be quoted, including titles, words being defined, wording for texts and emails; whether words from documents and exhibits should or should not be quoted; lead-in words and discourse; and where punctuation goes in relation to quotes.
Join us for this four-hour class, and go forward feeling a little more confident about using quotes in your transcripts.
